The diner mug is an American classic the mug for WW2 submarines called the Victory mug. The 50's diner has them in stoneware with thick walls comfort but a bit small at 8 oz. and the coffee gets cold too quick. We kept the thick walls with air between them to keep it hot and moved the capacity to 10 oz and made a handle for comfort like the classic. Buffalo China may have started it before WW2 and Highwave popularized the Diner for retail 25 yrs ago and this is our new one shipping now.
